Padded Cell are a Wellington-based punk/ska band with obvious old-school influences. Their members include the infamous Blair Jones of the late Deaf Terrorists on vocals, Ross Gardiner of Heathen Filth fame on bass, Angela Kennedy of the short-lived but long-remembered Virgin Blood Farts on guitar, and Jana of the now-very-famous Carnys on drums.
Padded Cell have been rehearsing in a liquor-store basement since July 2001. They have recently played gigs at Necropolis in Auckland, Underground Arts, The Blue Note and The Frypan in Wellington.
