Tacit began many years ago when Karl and Dave formed a band with a couple of others during high school. They actually made a bit of money from it, reputedly $1,000 for a New Year's gig at the Aotea Centre. After a few years Krystal joined the band as their new singer, but there was even more to come...
June 2002 saw the arrival of Ben to replace the previous two guitarists. Despite popular opinion, Ben was not a death metal guitarist, so the band enjoyed a subtle change in direction.
Tacit’s musical influences span as wide a range as their talents and passions, from the multi-faceted Incubus, to the more haunting Bjork, to the deep rock of Tool.
