Philippa is and has always been a protagonist of underground music... The daughter of a music teacher, with a degree in the study of Religion and a post graduate Diploma in Audio Engineering, Philippa is arguably New Zealand's longest standing and highest profile female DJ; and she's a staunch advocate of underground and real House music - music soaked in soul, flavour, syncopated beats, and jazz-minded goodness.
Philippa as a professional DJ is a fiery performer, effortlessly controlling nightclub dance floors up and down New Zealand where her skills and taste are in hot demand. With a career spanning ten years now, Philippa has collected national awards and accolades for her DJing; and has also held down the perennially popular Friday Drive show, 4 till 6pm, on nationally broadcasting, Auckland based dance music radio station George FM for 6 years – consistently one of the station’s highest rating shows.
Philippa is currently breaking into production; and runs her own promotions company Soul Productions (the company behind the infamous and rocking 'Chicago Disco' House parties @ Auckland's Ink Bar). A contributor on many different levels, who is both musically and business minded, Philippa is very much about community... has mad love for music, and is one House music artist from New Zealand you’ll be seeing and hearing more of.
