The Otautahi Allstars is an allstar collective group of Christchurch's most ambitious up and coming musicians. They perform an original flavour of live reggae with a hint of jazz.
Formed in January 2002, the Allstars are a musical project initiated by Oakley Grenell to record an album of his original tunes in this style. They rehearsed the tunes and then went into the studio to record a full length album.
They first performed at the Dux de Lux, before most of the group disbanded overseas on other musical ventures for the remainder of the year.
Redford and Devon also perform as Shapeshifter.
