New Zealand's answer to REM. Formed in Wellington and consisting of Vivien Reid, Karen Apperley, Peter Holm, and Nigel Mitchell. Nigel and Peter have been playing together since Peter joined with Nigel and Greg Goulding to form Two Persons Bodiene in 1992. With Greg's departure in late 1992 the name became less wryly ironic, and Nigel and Peter played as a two-piece at Bodega, Zak's and Trekkers. Nigel's subsequent departure in 1993 for Malaysia, and later Australia, left the band temporarily under-resourced.
On Nigel's return in 1997, they resumed, namelessly. Karen joined at the end of that year, having been recommended by a friend at Nigel's work, who then (being Vivien) joined as well.
More recently the band has been taking things easy. The band recently reformed to play at Bar Bodega with Christine White and Hinemoana Baker. A very enjoyable evening indeed, marred only by the fact that Peter was leaving to live in Palau for two years.
Nigel, Viv and Karen hope to pick up the pace and see what they can do without Peter's beautiful guitar playing and plan to record some new material and play more gigs.
