Ghostplane @ The Dux 14 May 2004
a review on Ghostplane submitted by jono.

The latest "A Low Hum" zine release party stopped off in Christchurch with indie popsters Ghostplane headlining.

On their first tour of the mainland, Ghostplane proved to be yet another high quality indie band eminating from the mecca of Wellington.

The four piece captivated a reasonable crowd right from the start with a clear, concise sound. A sound that made it easy to distinguish between the instruments. The tunes were very melodic with pristine lyrics.

It was pleasing to see a band with three vocalists all having different vocal skills and ranges that complimented each other extremely well. Of the three, bassist Ash Harmer left the most impression with a voice than can only be described as sultry.

The set was an eclectic mix, ranging from indie pop to bluesy riffs, but all the while lead to a feeling of tranquility. Stand out tracks were "The Straight and the Narrow" and "It goes all wrong" also gathering the biggest audience response of the evening.

Blink could not of thought of a better band to promote the latest zine. Ghostplane have a excellent stage presence and are well worth watching live.
