Bio

DJ Sir-Vere (Phil Bell) started the True School Hip Hop Show, which still runs on bFM, and is currently the host of Late Night Hype, which runs on Mai FM.

He also ran Wrekognize, along with DLT, during the short period in which New Zealand had MTV.

DJ Sir-Vere has also had a big involvment in the local ITF. He runs Beat Merchants in Auckland, and used to be in a DJ group called '2 Cuts Klan' with Sub-Zero.

DJ Sir-Vere, along with Paul Amlehn, organised Planet Rock at Auckland's Powerstation in 1988. Planet Rock was New Zealand's first 12 hour dance party, and needed a special license to stay open for that duration.
