Pine In New York Posted: Wed Jul 2, 2003 10:28 am Thanks to NoiZyland and Arch Hill for the following:
Pine are the latest New Zealand band to head offshore for some gig action, having just played a show in London with fellow kiwis Rubicon (at Cargo on 30 June), before heading across the Atlantic for a trio of dates in the Big Apple in mid-July.
The Christchurch popsters are taking part in the New Zealand themed Summer Stage at Central Park on 13 July, but are also taking the opportunity while in town to play another couple of more 'intimate' shows, the first on 11 July at Issue Gallery/Bar 619 (East 6th Street from 8pm), and 14 July at the Piano Bar (Ludlow Street, Lower East Side).
If you're in New York, and want to check out some of New Zealand's finest pop sounds, head along.
The official dates are as follows:
- Thursday 11 July - Issue Gallery/Bar, 619 East 6th Street, New York:
Start: 8pm
Price: Free!
- Sunday 13 July - Summer Stage, Central Park, New York:
Featuring: Greg Johnson, King Kapisi and Wai 100%
Afternoon Show
- Monday 14 July - Piano Bar, Ludlow Street, Lower East Side, New York:
Start: 8pm |
