Bio

Kevin Tutt aka Onelung was a founding member of The Doubting Thomas’s playing bass. They moved to Sydney and released an EP 'It's Just A Dream' in 1987 before disbanding in 1988.

He then formed a new band Pink Frocks and moved back to Auckland in 1991. Pink Frocks released two demo tapes. They changed their name to Cicada in 1992 with a new vocalist and unique sonic guitar sound. Cicada received serious airplay and produced numerous music videos. They toured New Zealand many times and played support for some well-known bands.

After Cicada disbanded in 1997, Kevin formed Onelung.

Since then he has released three albums and an EP under the Onelung moniker and has made numerous appearances on various compilations.

Onelung has taken the electronic direction, using an array of digital and conventional sound generators to create sound textures. His music has been compared with Coldcut, Amon Tobin & DJ Shadow.
