Bio

Formed in 1999. Yokel is one of Stakeout Record's bands. Yokel have quickly established themselves as one of the most promising bands in the Palmerston North scene. They play pop-punk with a rich vein of comedy and entertainment. It is simply not possible to be bored by Yokel.

Yokel had played only a handful of shows before they were snapped up by Stakeout Records, with whom they released their debut EP, the nine-track 'Amish Rake Fight'. The EP has quickly gained high rotation on Radio Massey, and their steadily-improving live act have also added to their following.

Yokel have been impressing everyone of late with their high energy shows and catchy tunes, playing with the likes of Tadpole and Chris Knox.
