XVirus are a four-piece band from West Auckland formed in early 2001. They play a mongrelised style of music that takes the most sordid aspects of hardcore, metal, stoner rock, punk and, yes, even some hip-hop and blends them into a sick style that they feel is difficult to classify.
XVirus are the twisted incarnation of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll dream. Where that dream once reflected constant bliss and an oblivious collective utopia, XVirus reflect its darker side - hate, obscenity, apathy, isolation, fear, and above all the unjustified taboo that is free thought.
