Holdfast

Bio

Holdfast are a young 4-piece band playing shows in and around Hamilton and Auckland. They play a style of ska/punk that has led to comparisons sonically with the likes of NoFX, and the band look to blend hard-hitting music with positive lyrics about their lives and what goes on around them.

Formed in March of 2000, the band has begun to form a solid and loyal fan-base from their recent beginnings. Holdfast have released an EP, titled 'Alpha'. This is an EP containing 4 songs illustrating the bands varied writing style, mirroring their energetic live act. Although mainly focussing on a fast-paced new-school sound, the EP has some ska and emo thrown in for good measure.

Band Members:
Andrew Havill (vocals, trumpet)
Joe McNamara (guitar, vocals)
Nat Bristow (bass, vocals)
Ken Pratten (drums, vocals)
