Lavina Williams

Bio

Lavina Rose Williams (born 13 June 1979 Auckland, New Zealand) is a Music Artist and Musical Theatre Actrist. Lavina began her career as a member of the 1990's the girl group Ma-V-Elle. The group had multiple songs in the NZ music charts included Never Say Goodbye, Freedom, Show Me Heaven and Three Flow.

In 2006, Lavina competed on the 4th season of Australian Idol, finishing in the top 8 of the competition. Lavina for a short time joined her little sisters girl group Young Divas back in 2007 Lavina had a successful Musical Theatre career, traveling the world to perform in hit show like The Lion King, Hairspray, Dream Girls and currently Sisters Act.

As a singer she has been the backing vocalist for many New Zealand artists including Ginny Blackmore and Stan Walker. She has featured in many songs including a song called Stand With You with her brother J Williams. The song got chart success reaching 6th in the New Zealand chart. Lavina was also featured a couple of Mika Haka singles including Coffee and Loved Me A Man.
