Bio

Originally one third of Matipo Pyramid, Max has been making tunes of his own for over 5 years now. Max has been involved in the emergence of Dance Culture in New Zealand, mainly through events in the Nelson/Golden Bay area.

After returning from travels in India he became involved in the initial Entrain Parties which evolved into The Gathering, now New Zealand's largest outdoor party. Having gone to Otago University at the time the Dunedin Sound emerged, he now feels this is influential in his musical style.

Max hopes his music has an uplifting effect on the listener, and continues to make music for the love of it. He makes his music in his home studio looking out at the ocean and says this is a huge part of the vibe of his music. Max has been trying to add an element of soul to his electronica style, through playing guitar and incorporating other local musicians into his music.

His debut album 'Continuous Play' was released in January 2001.

He lives in Golden Bay with his partner Galit, son Sol and dog Stubby.
