Bio

Formed in 1996, Cane Slide have released 4 singles and 2 CDs - 1997s 'Sloppy Pop Wars' and the 10 song minorpiece 'Stop Look Listen'.

Cane Slide also had two songs on the debut Wrong Records CD compilation 'Dollar Mixture'. The NZ Herald and Christchurch Press picked Cane Slide songs as compilation highlights. Rip lt Up described their contributions as "sub-Crazy Horse era Neil Young driving pop". Real Groove said "Cane Slide's Change the Channel raises its head above the crowd".

Cane Slide has toured throughout the North Island on their own and with others such as Superette, The Renderers, Fist and The Tufnels. In addition to playing with other local bands such as The 3Ds and The Magik Heads, Cane Slide have supported international acts Pavement and Pollyanna.

They have also played two Big Day Out's, and at Sweetwaters.
