Hailing from the shaky city of Christchurch, 1 Drop Nation has already made a huge impact on the music scene both in Christchurch and all over Aotearoa. They have been asked by festivals in Australia to go and play there and have begun the travelling through the south Island.

A 7pce outfit with an insatiable appetite for delivering an amazing performance every time they hit the stage, 1 Drop Nation’s tunes will have you caught up in their sweet irie vibes, there sound is hugely influenced by reggae, but they add their own flavour with an eclectic mix of genres ranging from rock to Bollywood.

Front man and co-founder Kanei Johnson pierces the hypnotizing music with his distinctive and captivating vocals. Lyrics written from his experiences will touch your soul while you dance to the sweet sounds of 1 Drop Nation.
They have played in major gigging venues in Christchurch and are looking at making an impact on the NZ music scene

Later this year 1 Drop nation will be playing the half time show at an official MMA fight which is to be screened on Maori TV.
They were described by one punter as ‘refreshing’ and another was quoted as saying, ‘I’ve never heard this sound from a roots band before. 1 Drop Nation has managed to bring together two elements that have always been separate. an extremely rare mix of pop and underground. And it works!’
After only 6 gigs, 1 Drop Nation already had over 800 likes on facebook and over 7000 views on youtube.

They have released their first single and this has had an awesome response and is playing on radio stations all over New Zealand
