Tryptanite started out as a joke back in 2005 in music class by Nick and two others who are not in the band anymore and has gone through about 4 name changes and a few member changes since then.

Most known in their home town Morrinsville as friends but.
Also for their songs:

'So Sick Of (These Yellow Lights)'
Which was wrote by Dan about a computer game he liked and his friend, it's also their first single which they also have a music video for it.
They also entered this song into 'Band Experiments'

'My Heart Remains True'
Which was wrote by Nick for his girl-friend which was their second song they got out their by putting it into 'The Rock's Bon Jovi Contest' and also got into the Piako Post for that

'Hushabye'
Which was wrote by Nick for Bradley about one of his x girl-friends

Also 'Addicted'
Which was wrote by Nick about smoking

They have their nicknames and the last names of dead rock stars - apart from the driver as stage names

Bradley a.k.a Bradical Bronham is 18 and is the drummer for the band

Dan a.k.a Dan Barret is 17 and is the guitarist for the band and also wrote the lyrics for 'So Sick Of (These Yellow Lights)'

Nick a.ka NiZ Vicious is 18 and is the vocalist for the band also the one who has continued it from 2005 and wrote most of the lyrics
