BlackCatFish is a four piece grunge rock band from Wellington New Zealand.

Originally from the UK, lead singer Marcus Ambler moved out to New Zealand bringing with him his unique lyrical style. Teaming up with guitarist Sean Anderson they began writing and performing acoustically at local Wellington bars where they built up quite a following. This lead to meeting drum wizard Harry Hines who wasted no time joining the band. A rough demo was recorded in December 2009 with Sean filling in on bass. This demo ultimately lead to Marty Kent joining the band as their full-time bassist.

Wasting no time the boys got straight to gigging, not turning down any opportunity to get their music heard.

After this round of shows, BlackCatFish will be back in the studio laying down some fresh tracks over the next few months.
