Named after the rounds that your standard revolutionary issue AK-47 chambers, 7.62 short are swamp metal at it's harshest, and fully intent on settling in Norway.
Founded on a common hate of corporate greed, 7.62 short consists of twin chug guitarists Markham Wightman and Kris Cummerfield, mad drummer Mike Asmundson, Jimmy Bicknell on subversive sampling and harsh new singer Matt "Rosey" Rowes. 7.62 short are relaying a disturbing outlook on the bleak society capitalist culture has turned this earth into, not to mention the immense fun and liberation deviant behaviour holds.
All five band members having previously been in other Palmerston North bands (Wholesale Drainage, Release, Master Cheese Maker, Rungled and Birthmark) 7.62 short's line-up lacks no experience in crowd control. Having recently released an 8 song demo tape titled "Ammo for the soul" 7.62 short are waking up your sleepy towns, see them or forever retain your commercial blindfold.
