Bio

With over a decade of experience which has seen Kitsch release two highly successful albums, along with countless tours, numerous international supports with such heavyweights as The Ataris, Offspring, Suicidal Tendencies, MXPX, Hot Water Music, No Fun At All and appearances on The Warped tour and Big Day Out stages.

Kitsch is now ready to conquer with the release of their 3rd album 'The Burning Ground'.

Fuelled by an 18 month live hiatus and collaboration with long-time friend and engineer Evan Short (Concord Dawn) the new album 'The Burning Ground' sees Kitsch expand on their musical boundaries and explore new ground while retaining the Kitsch touch. Coupled with Evans input across all aspects of writing and production (including playing bass guitar), and driven by their collective philosophy of honesty and integrity, the inspiration for the new record deals with their fascination with human communication, the breakdown of relationships and a world full of self destruction and loss. After 10 years together, the last 18 months has seen Kitsch working intensively on preproduction taking them down new avenues of musicianship and sound. Using textures such as piano, a string quartet and acoustic guitars combined with aggression and volume, Kitsch enhance their emotive fuelled punk rock.

"We're very proud and excited about this album, it's the best music we've ever made by far and we've had incredible satisfaction from creating the music we want, expanding our boundaries, experimenting with new ideas while still remaining distinctively Kitsch" – Ben Crawford.

Kitsch – 'Burning Ground' The new album in-stores August 15th 2005 through ElevenfiftySeven/Shock Records.
