Formed in the midst of 2006, armed with an arsenal of licks and grooves, and evermore sturdy on the good foot (except one), Locean ("Lotion") is a Tour de Force funk/soul band hailing from Christchurch, New Zealand.

Just like a Zeppelin made of Lead, or a Butterfly made of Iron, Locean indulge in the delicate and heavy, the sweet and the bitter.

Playing support for seminal NZ artists such as Hollie Smith, Katchafire, dDub and Tahuna Breaks, Locean are a force of formidable potency, and one band NOT to be missed!
