In 2006 Tony, Tony, Matt E and Mat G came together in the tail end of a band called 'Darktone' with the then singer/rhtymn guitairst Laurie. When Laurie parted with music in 2007, The remaining members of Darktone carried on with a temporary singer Nick Henderson one gig under the name 'Anomic Reason'.
While continung writing new music (abandoning Darktone music) A number of songers tried out, until eventually Cynthia auditioned and joined.
And finally, in early 2008, Black Dahlia formed.
The Sound that has developed since is an ecclectric range of new wave/synth-pop meets hard rock.
Black Dahlia have perfomed in Venues and Colleges around Wellington as their base and are presently recording Singles to take on the road nationwide.
Each are APRA/AMCOS registered writers/composers who all contribute to the total sound of each song. Hence the ecclectic sound.
