Run by core noise soundscapers Anton Killin, Dan Lord, and Richard Robertshawe, the Improv Noise Band has an ever-changing lineup of guest musicians (25 members after only two years) from other Wellington bands and the New Zealand School of Music. The band was set up for DJ Nightmare666's 06.06.06 dark and experimental gig in June 2006, and after great feedback it was decided to keep the Improv Noise band running as a "permanent sideproject".
Guests include Andrzej Nowicki, Bernie Gruschow, Chris Kenny, Duncan Nairn, Duncan Stuart, Elliot Vaughan, Kylie Nesbit, Quentin Maher, Sam O'Neill, Shane Caldwell, Tess Martinez.
