Blake Guest (Aka Needless Cane) first started in the music scene in 1998 at the age of 11, he had joined a band called "The Dead Dolls", the bands music was nothing like Omega, it was a Death metal band which had put a lot of strain on "Cane's voice due to the expectations of his screaming vocals, he was refered as the Screaming Demon or the Banshee of Blood. Early 2001 he was having troubles with his voice but still the presure to keep up tothe bands expectations kept him going. October 2001 Cane ended up in hospital due to his voice, this had led him quit the band, in the spare time he continued his school work and art. At the start of Feb 2002 Calisto (X bass player) of the dead dolls contacted Cane an offered him to do a break up gig at the end of the year, he accepted the offer.
In 2003 N. Cane was approached by a fellow musicain "Arm" he had asked Cane if he was keen to form a band, at first Cane was a bit hesitant, but had gone to the music room to have a listen to Arm, quite impressed Cane had formed with arm, soon later they had got a Drummer "Jordan Millington" & Bass Player Ruby Cryptomeria (Who later became Zion Saquaria) and with out a due the band that was' "Omega". Due to unforseen circumstances, Arm & Jordan had to leave the band, but were quickly replaced by Joseph Baily (Guitar) & Steven Meggit (Drums), the band had then entered in The 2004 Rock Quest and had ate up the music competition with the song "The Devil in the Tree" which had showed the Demon voice in Cane. Days after the competition Cane had quit music and fired Joseph & Steven, for reason's that he would regret.
March 2005 Zion & Cane had decided to reform Omega, despite Cane had been depressed he had gained to inspiration from his dear friend "Zion" to get back in to the music scene. Later that year the duo had auditioned some musician's but were frustrated with the lack of image that they say during the audition time period, then they had meet a drummer also and better known as "Alan Degenerate" who quoted "I am a Lesbian in a mans body" soon that year Omega had entered in "The Battle of the bands competition" which was held at the timaru Outlaws venue, also joined for the competition was Blues guitar player "Matt Fich", but he was only a temporary member for the Omega Camp at the time.
After the bands break, Needless Cane had got Guitarist John Teau who had joined the band, sadly at the same time Alan had departed the band but was replaced by Zion's brother Emyln James, and through out 2006 the band had been constanly practising and for halloween they had performed at Radiant Records Timaru. After the gig Zion had told Cane that she was moving to Australia in pursuit of her own goals, depressed and enraged Cane had signed on Nemesis who at the time was originally going to play guitar for the band, but was changed to playing Bass. In 2007 after a failed attempt to reform Omega & the departure of John Teau, Needless Cane had given up on music and turned his back on the people that cared about him, while dealing with problems of his own, it looked rather down hill for the singer. Cane did get back into the music scene again, through inspiration of bringing something different to the Nz Music scene, he came back with a new band called "Spade" and is recording on an Debut album set for release May 2008.
Needless Cane has been working with musicains in colloberation as a return to music, he stated that the 1st record will be a 7 track Lp title "Omega" (a title from his last band) aswell as he has been working on new material which is set forth to bring a new era....
