Bio

Dissolution is a three-piece thrash band who formed in March 2006, inspired by a mutual love of classic thrash and death metal. After writing and rehearsing for a few months they played a couple of shows during the latter part of the year, receiving critical praise from many who saw them. They have already played a few more gigs around Christchurch and have a few more lined up for March 2007, and plan to enter the studio in the very near future.

Dissolution’s style is direct and aggressive, with a high level of musicianship. There is an obvious old school thrash influence, however comparisons have also been made to darker, avant-garde classic metals bands such as Celtic Frost and Samael. Take a listen to a couple of rehearsal tracks at their myspace profile and judge for yourselves. Then come to their shows and thrash it up in the pit!
