Incarna

Bio

With the heritage of Paul's guitar experience going back to the highly successful Christchurch bands Tempest and 7 Tongues and the inclusion of Phill on bass and Greg on drums Incarna grew out of the member’s love of big groove Rock and the need for self expression via original music.

The rest of 2006 was spent searching for and running in a special singer that not only matched the power of the music but could help drive it as well. That was in the form of Lisa who not only has a dynamic voice but also a personality to match.

With a backlog of songs rehearsed gigs in 2007 were regular and very well supported with an awesome audience response, the highlights being the supports of Jaggedy Ann and Slipping Tongue on their national tour. The band also concentrated on the wealth of new material on hand with all members contributing to the writing process with the end result being the five song self tilted demo which is receiving radio play.

Band Members:
Paul Schurgers (guitar)
Lisa Baxter (vocals)
Phill Keegan (bass)
Greg Skinner (drums)

Songs from the past

Hi guys. Any thoughts on including soem songs from Tempest in your set?
I reckon Deceiver & Rock & Roll the night away would sound good with Lisa on vocals.

Hey guys what time do you reckon Incarna will be on stage on saturday night? I've got to start work at 1030pm but I'd love to get to the gig beforehand.

Another great gig. Lisa did well considering the problems with the voice& Paul my old mate, you were in top form again tonight!
Keep on rocking Incarna.
Hope I can make the next gig at Al's bar, may not because I think I am working nightshift that night starting at 1030.

(P.S. Thanks for the Cds Paul)

Caught the gig at Al's Bar the other week. Went off bigtime!
Great to hear some good honest original rock being played by great musos.
Good to heard Paul play again after what must be 14 years since I last heard him in the original Tempest.
Looking forward to the next gig at the Wunderbar!
