2006 saw Mon Ami share the stage with some of NZ's finest musicians including Greg Johnson, Fly My Pretties, The Phoenix Foundation and Elemeno P.
With qualities likened to Crowded House and Simon & Garfunkel, Mon Ami is a fusion of folk, country and rock intertwined around drifting vocal melodies and harmonies, harmonicas and quirky guitar riffs, softened by warm piano rhythms and searing fiddle lines. They are distinctive and original with a fan base that spans the generations.
"Finely crafted, romantic and lyrical – a stunning Debut" - Liz Barry – Homegrown on National Radio

"Debut is a toe-tapping, melodic gem that both surprises and satisfies, and is destined to be the soundtrack of summer for those fortunate enough to own a copy" **** - Dave Burgess - Wellingtonian
"'Butterflies on my Cheek' made me feel like a child making animals from clouds whereas "The Bar" leaves you older and more mature" - Chris Titford - Groove Guide
