Whispers for Warning began when guitarist Dylan Sweetensen wanted to put his skills to good use. After teaming up with talented drummer and good friend Troy Leamy they began searching for a bass player. After trialing a few people they decided to ask a class friend Jakob Wollner.
The outcome was positive. They began as soon as they could writing songs, their first of which they entered into the rockquest titled - Russian Roulette.
From there they began to play shows around Kapiti and Wellington always pulling in a great crowd.They've played with such bands as Rearview Murder and Rockquest finalist, Rival State. Their influence on their song writing is from bands such as From First To Last and The Bled. Yet the music they produce is original and enterprizing.
