Ambient New Age guitar instrumentalist Baz Mantis is currently recording his second album 'Pieces Of Daylight'.
The first track to be freely released from the atmospheric new album is the mini epic 'Orcas In Orbit', of which Mantis describes as "a taste of everything yet to come on the album, condensed within the first sixty seconds of the track."
While possessing a vast range of diverse musical influences, Mantis states that his primary influences are "nature, people, literature, events and a developing spirituality" to being the main catalysts which have shaped the unfolding and development of his 90 minute instrumental repertoire.
Baz Mantis is a solo performer and multi instrumentalist. Guest performers will be appearing on the new album, including crystal singing bowl performer, healer and spiritual teacher Kelly Bellequé.
Three other tracks from his first instrumental album 'Happy Planet', released in 2002, are also available for free download at www.download.com/bazmantis.
The album is being recorded at the artists own Electric Gypsy Studio in Tauranga, and mixed locally at The Colour Field Studio in Welcome Bay.
