LeiLani is one of New Zealand's most exiting new female singer/writers. Recently signed to Pagan/Antenna recordings she joins an impressive roster of talent including Tadpole, Pluto, Eye TV and the Relaxomatic Project.
Lei Lani's music is described as Folk/Rock with a distinctive rawness-it is very strong and passionate.
In the past year she has had numerous radio interviews and live to airs, appeared on national TV several times, sung the national anthem for NPC rugby giants plus numerous gigs alongside to bands. Described by her record company as an artist with huge commercial potential, her distinctive sound is not to be missed.
Lei Lani uses unusual instruments for percussion such as the African Djembei, Congas and a variation of Maori horns and wind instruments.
Lei Lani has performed with Undercarriage, Fur Patrol, Jester and Rubicon.
