Jooles

Bio

Jooles was formed in 1974 by his Mum and Dad near Cambridge, UK. Although they split up, Jooles has remained together ever since, barring a temporary split between body and soul after a bottle of tequila and a pack of herbals at Glastonbury '98. He now lives closer to Cambridge, NZ, in Mount Maunganui.

He is currently one of New Zealand's least well known recording stars but believes that all that could change if a large number of people find out who he is.

He cites a wide range of influences ranging from Jeff Buckley to The Who. The first single he bought was 'Golden Brown' by The Stranglers... Pretty cool, you might think... Sadly it was backed up by his second purchase, 'Too Shy Shy' by Kajagoogoo.

Jooles' live pedigree began in Bristol, UK, in the early-mid '90s with bands like Subway and a very promising collaboration with Phonic guitarist, Shane Roynon.

Jooles is the lead vocalist/guiatarist and programmer for Diefenbacker.
