Tim Finn Australian Tour
Posted: Sun Oct 22, 2006 12:20 pm
With audiences all over Australia still recovering from the rocking Split Enz reunion tour earlier this year, The Frontier Touring Company and Roundhouse Entertainment are delighted to announce that Tim Finn will soon be back in Australia for a series of theatre and a day on the green winery shows.

Having just released his seventh solo album Imaginary Kingdom (out now through EMI) to widespread acclaim, Tim Finn will tour Australia in February 2007. Playing indoor venues across Australia, Tim will also make special appearances at the a day on the green winery concerts with Pete Murray. Audiences can expect a setlist made up of the hits that made Tim a household name, plus exciting new material from Imaginary Kingdom.

Imaginary Kingdom is Tims seventh solo album of his career and his first solo album in five years. The release of the album was preceded by the hit single Couldnt Be Done. This album is truly a showcase of Tims unique songwriting skills.

Tims long and prestigious music career began in the early 1970s with the formation of Split Enz, the quirky and spectacular group who have attained legendary status in Australia and New Zealand. For a period Tim was also a member of Crowded House with his brother, and former Split Enz bandmate, Neil Finn. Tim and Neil have also collaborated as the Finn Brothers, releasing the album Everyone is Here and touring extensively.

Imaginary Kingdom sees Tim in his first solo venture in some time. All Music Guide gave the album a glowing review, describing it as an atmospheric and joyous collection of beautifully written songs that embrace the listener with warmth and emotional honesty. An unparalleled singer songwriter, Tim Finn tours extensively across Australia in February 2007.
