Big things always start out small
And that pretty well much explains No Broadcast (previously known as Anthesiac) the young Hagley band who got to together in a few weeks and in a matter of days had won the Canterbury Regional Smokefree Rockquest and rallied several loyal fans in the area.
For their last year year at school Josh decided once again to enter the Smokefree Rockquest after being unsucessful in other years by missing out by a narrow margin. Josh thought it was worth one last shot with a few problems finding members and his normal disorganisation he managed to get a band together a couple of weeks before they had to play at the Rockquest. the band comprising of himself and Arno who he had played with in every band since he can remember.
The band also included Chris, who he had played with a few times before, and a new member Louise who he had met at college. With the help and support from a lot of friends and eachother Anthesiac managed to convincingly take out the Christchurch Smokefree Rockquest Regional Finals.
Winner of the National Smokefree 'Best Vocals' Award was Josh Braden from Anthesiac, Hagley Community College, Christchurch.
