Lyrics: Get Up

I could be leaning into my true nature, I've gotten used to the exquisiteness of my pain. There it goes again, all right, who'd have thought it would be this okay. There are always those who see the wounded ones, are you one who would rub the salt in. Do you think it's okay to steal the damaged goods. It's so funny to hit the bottom, look up and find out where you stand, you feel a little taller than before.

Giving away something you thought you needed, becoming so much more, I can feel the muscles flexing I never had before. Living each day like some kind of gift from the gods that fell in my lap, I'm happy to say I wouldn't be here to tell you if I didn't get up and crawl.

If I was ever Cinderella I wouldn't want to try that slipper on, if you were ever Cinderella I would want to be you alibi . You don' t need that golden carriage, take you where you think the party is, I wouldn't thank you for Prince Charming if I fell right into him.
