5 Piece Metal/Hardcore band from Auckland, combining a mix of different flavours of metal, grind, punk and hardcore influences into their own style of music that rips open people's ears and leaves them with a memorable musical slap in the face.
With influences from Between The Buried And Me, Job For A Cowboy, Unearth, Bury Your Dead, The Locust, Seventh Star, Red Chord, Kill Me Quickly, Into The Moat and more including other international and kiwi acts they form their music they can play to anybody.
The band started out in 2003 as 22what (tu-tu phat) and playing a brand of screamo/hardcore. Then with different lineup changes moving into their style which they felt was right for them and being Every Man For Himself.
EMFH have built up a small, growing reputation around the north island and play to different cities mostly around the Hardcore scene, but from time to time played with others styles.
Bands that EMFH have recently played with are international acts Stronghold, Parkway Drive, Darkest Hour, JonestownSyndicate and xWish for wingsx and playing with some of NZ's best local acts Guest Stabs Host, Antagonist, Cold By Winter, New Way Home, The Warparth and Brick vs Face to name a few.
EMFH have a few demos under their belt and have just recently released their first EP 'Every Man For Himself' which includes 7 songs that sing about social issues, personal beliefs and personal issues and is available and local shows or the band could send you one for only $10 from their MySpace page.
