Bio

What happens when dub, rock and melody merge? You get Dunedin band Evolver, with their hybrid blending of driving force rhythms, complimentary melodies and funky southern style. It's danceable and lyrical, and eclectic enough to ensure there's something for everyone who loves music and majick.

Known and loved locally, and faves of the South Island orientation and festival circuit, Evolver released their debut 5-track EP 'Edin' on 03 May 2004 through BMG New Zealand. First single 'How Could U Let Me Go (Swimming)' has already proven popular on b-net stations around the country. Plans for the future include a video for second single 'Stars' and a nationwide tour. Evolver are also currently writing material for a debut album.

Aptly named, Evolver initially formed in 2000, and the rhythm section of the original line-up, Scott Brown (bass) and Tony Dick (drums), still remain.

In 2002 they were joined by front-woman pianist and singer Emmanuelle Gomez, and guitarist Phil Patrick in 2003. All members contribute to songwriting.

Band Members:
Emmanuelle Gomez (vocals, piano)
Scott Brown (bass)
Tony Dick (drums)
Phil Patrick (guitar, vocals)
