Pyxis forms in July - Elliot Vaughan (keyboards & vocals), Anton Killin (guitar), Duncan McNae (bass), with additional drumming on demo tape by Ludwig Treviranus. Duncan leaves at the end of the year.
Pyxis manager Brad Rubick enlists Heleyni Pratley (vocals) and Karakate Ou (bass). Local drumming hero Hayden Linney and Raja Palepu (second guitar) are enlisted by Anton.

Pyxis records first EP. Elliot relocates to Canada, Chris Kenny replaces him, and band name changes to Halva Eve.
Karakate returns, and ’The Sound of Rain’ is recorded. Raja and Karakate both relocate at the end of the year, leaving the band.
Sam O’Neill is enlisted on bass, and is eventually replaced by Quentin Maher. Will Neill replaces Hayden on drums.

Will leaves at the end of the year, and due to personal commitments, the band goes into a kind of hibernation for the entirety of 2007, prompting the withdrawal of Heleyni and Chris.
Resurrection! New members are enlisted - Daniel Lord (drums), Sherilee Kahui (vocals), and Marika Pratley (keyboards) - who is replaced by Kyla Walker (synths) in April - joining Anton and Quentin to complete Halva Eve’s newest and freshest incarnation.
