'Dutchies'- Shapeshifter Single Review

21 Feb 2010 // A review by Miss_Jukebox
Being most incredible song that you will have heard in a long time, ‘Dutchies’ is the answer to all of your musical prayers. Shapeshifter have brought out a new single from their latest album The System is a Vampire which contains all of their finesse and artistry. From the opening hum of the song it can be felt on the back of the neck that there are no bounds for where this song is heading, with you in tow. Suddenly P Diggs sings with assurance to “hold on...” Then you are welcomed to the ride that is ‘Dutchies.’

From the exotic gypsy synths to the sanguine yet commanding lyrics, ‘Dutchies’ adds a fresh facet onto their reputed drum’n’bass rhythms. Shapeshifter seem to surpass their creativity with each release they present. ‘Dutchies’ is pure magic from start to end and will leave everyone feeling spellbound and yearning to traverse through the song, time and time again.

Pop-rock trio Ninja Monkey have released their debut EP Anger Management, a little taste of their full-throttle rock’n’roll drive. The EP consists of the very classic groove of ‘These Eyes’ with prodding guitar riffs and pounds of the drums, encrusted with dense rock harmonies.
