What can we expect to see from Ammp over the next year?
Lots of single releasing, hopefully some radio play and heads down finishing the second album.
What advice would you like to give to other aspiring musicians?
Don't give up, believe in yourself and your product, be persistant and consistant. Delete the negative.
Who are your favourite NZ musicians/bands, and why?
Crowded House, The Exponents and Dave Dobbyn. They were some of my inspiration for a long time.
What will Ammp’s next release be?
The New Single from the debut album - 'Day One'.
How do you come up with your lyrics?
They make themselves and I get out of the way.
How do you believe Ammp fits into the NZ music industry?
I think we are a small fly caught in a web.
What can you never leave home without?
My Ipod.
How do you describe Ammp’s music?
Songs that will knock you over the head and make you listen.
What is the best part of being a musician?
Friends.
What inspired you to start Ammp?
A love for writing songs.
How did you come up with the name Ammp?
Intitials from a few of our names and we couldnt come up with anything better so it stuck.
What rumour would you like to start about Ammp?
The Debut Album 'From The Back of The Sun' is a keeper and if you don't buy it you will die in seven days.

‘Ammp are a four piece Rock/ Indie / Alternative band from Wellington New Zealand with Eleven singles in their debut album due out Feb/Mar 2011.
In 2005 Andy Masseurs and Mathew Powell entered a Play it Strange/ TV 2 song writing competition. Their song All I Wanted made it into the top 5 out of 500 entrants. Andy and Mat watched as gifted musicians re-worked their song.
After the one hour TV Doco had finished Mat and Andy vowed to do it again themselves. Little did they know where this road would take them?
