How do you keep in contact with your fans?

mostly through myspace and email and talking to people at gigs before and after we've played

What rumour would you like to start about yourselves?

rumours are bad

What advice would you like to give to other aspiring musicians?

Have a certain element of seriousness to practices and recordings but don't stop having fun. also make sure that everyone in the band is heading towards the same goal what ever it may be

About Fingerprint

We are a five-piece band consisting of a vocalist, two guitarists, bass player and drummer. Weve been together for a year and a half and have had a warm introduction to the music industry with many gigs played and promo work such as played at hysteria bar up in Auckland many gigs at the Canterbury uni to thousands of people at the local university bbqs always good fun!

Also played at Canterburys Creation bar with support of four other bands, also played at the Dux De Lux, Esplanade Tavern and The Jetset Lounge. Our biggest gig to date was opening for Elemno P and The Heavy Jones Trio at our orientation week at Canterbury uni we have also opened for an international act at the esplanade called Nashville pussy. We have had an interview on New Zealands newest music channel ALT TV trying to promote our new E.P, the Identity.

Our music is best described as alternative rock consisting of some up beat songs with some edgy guitar skills and some and energetic drumming all combined with catchy vocals. As each of the members stems from different types of musical background, it has allowed fingerprint to create something different and diverse.
