Which NZ artist/band do you think will be a huge international success one day?
The Love Boat

Who would you most like to tour with?
Nine Inch Nails or Dresden Dolls

What is your most embarrassing concert moment?
The other week we played a very late night show, someone in the audience started having an epileptic seizure as soon as we strummed up the first song. I felt strange for the person, coz we couldnt stop!!!

What are you planning on doing during 2005?
Playing live, playing, filming stuff, writing, we gotta live CD coming out real soon!

How did you come up with the name Fats White?
I drank too much absinthe with some philosophy students one night out west, and I could not speak properly everything came out all wonky...

What is in your CD collection at home?
Ivor Utler, Wildman Fisher, Giorno Poetry Systems, Pumice, Zappa, Beefheart, Martin Emond Tribute Soundtrack, The Fall, Tubeway Army, Henry Cow, Kevin Ayers, Kevin Coyne...

What advice would you give other budding musicians/bands?
Keep growin', keep writing, keep practicing, keep your head down, never cancel a show, if you ever play with Fats White - do your bit and stick up posters too!!!!

Fats White is a 2-piece that live on Karangahape Road in Auckland, and have an edge and voice that hails first and foremost from the street. They play anywhere to anyone and have a lot of love for what they do.

Fats White recently opened for Boston band Dresden Dolls.
