1) Which NZ artist/band do you think will be a huge international success one day?
Shaun: 48 may maybe
Ted: Die!Die!Die!

2) Who would you most like to tour with?
Shaun: The dillinger Ecsape Plan
Sophie: Poison The Well
Andy: Through the Eyes Of the Dead
Ted: i agree, Through the Eyes Of the Dead

3) What is your most embarrassing concert moment?
Shaun: Dropping my drum sticks twice and having to restart that same song three times at the start of our set.
Ted: Screwing up the intro of a song 2 or 3 times
Sophie: Playing half a song then realising someone had tripped over my lead and un-plugged me..
Andy: I fall over a lot...

4) What are you planning on doing during 2005?
All: Tour, Video for TV, More merch to sell

5) How did you come up with the name Cathedra?
Shaun: I found it in a dictionary as Ex-cathedra then changed from there.

6) What is in your CD collection at home?
Shaun: The Dillinger Escape Plan, CL Bob, Miles Davis, Mahavishnu Orchestra, It dies today, Blink 182, Planet X,
Sophie: PTW, Rancid, Atreyu, Bleeding Through, Blink 182, NOFx, Walls of Jericho, AFI, Missing Teeth
Ted:nasum, the bled, the album leaf, shai hulud, poison the well, american nightmare, norma jean, the dillinger escape plan
Andy: Remembering Never, Through the eyes of the dead, With Dead Hands Rising, From Ashes Rise, Misery Index

7) What advice would you give other budding musicians/bands?
Shaun: Dont Give up, PRACTISE, PRACTISE, PRACTISE.
Sophie: Stick with it, practise heaps and make sure you have fun
Ted: Be friends with your band members, be opened minded to interesting styles and practise and have fun
Andy: ah..yeah Happy
 

About Cathedra

Forming in 2002, Palmerston North based Cathedra were a young band from Feilding High School, St Peters College and Awatapu College.

Inspired by the likes of Poison The Well, AFI, Cradle of Filth and Norma Jean, they described themselves as dark melodic metalcore in sound.

Renown for their live stage presence, the band played numerous shows in many different venues with bands such as Marystaple, Die! Die! Die!, The Nana Squad, Ritalin and Australia's Stronger Than Hate.
