Music News - Dónal Gunning Releases New EP 'Born To Perform' on May 17

Dónal Gunning is a singer songwriter from Ireland. He draws on rock, folk, indie and punk influences. Now based in Wellington, New Zealand his debut solo single Homesick released in October 2023.
Dónal’s EP Born to Perform is set to release on 17 May 2024. The EP was inspired and written while travelling New Zealand, Portugal and Ireland over the last 2 years.
As a performer, he knows how to work the crowd and always brings fun, energy and Irish charm through his thought-provoking lyrics and formative sound.
As well as the single Homesick, the EP also features a real head banger I Need You. A more upbeat Indie Folk number with cryptic lyrics and a punchy chorus. The EP also features a soft, more folk based song, Stadium Song.
Dónal will be performing his EP and other originals at Moon Bar, Wellington, on 16 May in light of the release. He will be accompanied by his backline, The Bucks.
